Weedy Run.

MONDAY 7/2/2005, 6PM- 6K
 
My calves were really beat up today. Slept in (7 hours sleep) and had a lunch meeting, so slipped out after work for a recovery jog on grass, along the nature strips down to Macquarie Uni, through the campus and back to the office. 6K at 5.29min/km. Bloody hot- 29 degrees and bright sunshine.
 
I think grass running is good for form- it forces you to really "drive" off your toes. Especially if it's thick grass- through the uni it was ankle deep, and I was having to work fairly hard, partly due to the terrain and partly due to the heat.
