Is that a smile on your face or a grimace? :)
How did you get past him from there? Was he too far gone to hear? Good run Mister G.
the agony of a beat like that may last the entire year.....
I heard a lot about this finish. What a great photo. cheers Plu
From the CR thread "Saddest Thing I Ever Saw" ...
The saddest thing I have seen lately was Mr G pumping his fist in the air as he crossed the finish line at Six Foot after passing me in the final 30 metres.
It left me feeling exposed, violated and mentally scarred and now I must live with it for twelve months before having a shot at atonement.
Dog.
I thought I would post this on this blog as well .... mmm, very interesting to visit and find that 'that finish' is a bit of a topic here.
I suppose I should be a bit flattered that I seem to be regarded as a bit of a 'scalp'.
Not too much I could do at the finish as I cramped up big time as soon as I tried a finishing sprint ... had been cramping for about the last 8km.
Glad you all enjoyed it, particularly the Mellum guys. You know the effect it will have on me.
Cheers, Dog.

ahh that old adage - what doesn't kill me make me more obnoxious!
