SMC Half.

SUNDAY 17/12/06, 7AM, 21K, WEEKLY TOTAL 103.5K, 5 HOURS SLEEP, ASICS 1110

I had a handy run today, my "comeback" to regular racing continues after the encouraging 8K race round Parramatta Park on Friday.

Today I set out in the Half at around 4.40 pace, sitting 10-30m behind Eagle and K for the first 10Ks or so. I didn't accelearate in the second half but around half a dozen people came back to me in the second half. I did consciously back off on the hill just after halfway as this was where things went wrong last month, but it didn't affect my placing and I kept going in subsequent Ks. I felt pretty good as I finished in 1.38.55, 4.39 pace and 7 minutes quicker than last month. No real distress, just a good hard aerobic run. Much encouraged, just have to keep the momentum going.

PBs to Shogun and Horrie, saw Blue Dog out there at one point (doing the 10K?).
